Likçe adı Cadavanti olan Cadianda, Fethiye’ye 20 km uzaklıktaki Yeşil Üzümlü bucağı yakınında yer almaktadır. Tarihi MÖ 5.yy a kadar uzanan kentin Roma İmparatorluğu döneminde çok canlı ve zengin bir yerleşim yeri olduğu bilinmektedir. Denizden 600m yükseklikte, çevresi muntazam olmayan taşlarla örülmüş bir surla çevrili kentin kuzey girişinde 4 adet Likya tipi mezar bulunmaktadır. MÖ 4.YY da yapıldığı sanılan mezarların 3 tanesi ev tipi olup bugün yıkık durumdadır. Tek bir kayadan oyulmuş 4. mezarın güney yüzünde divana uzanmış bir adam, kuzey yüzünde ise elindeki mızrak ve kalkanla hasmına saldıran bir atlı figürü yer almaktadır. Akropol’ün kuzey girişinde ilk karşılaşılan yapılar Dorik tarzı bir tapınağı ait olduğu sanılan kalıntılar ve Roma Dönemine ait İmparator Vespasianus tarafından yaptırılan yontma taş bir hamam kalıntısıdır.
Kentin kurulmuş olduğu tepenin yamacına oturtulmuş küçük tiyatronun batı bölümündeki oturma yerlerinin büyük bir bölümünün sağlam olmasına rağmen, sahne kısmı tamamen yıkılmıştır. Kentin merkezinde, batıdan doğuya doğru uzanan yaklaşık 9 metre eninde 900 metre uzunluğundaki geniş alanda yer alan kalıntıların şehir stadyumuna ait olduğu sanılmaktadır. Zira kazılarda ele geçen birçok yazıtta, Candianda’da düzenlenen atletizm şenliklerinden bahsedilmektedir. Stadyum çevresinde bulunan, başarılı atletlere ait oldukları sanılan heykel altlıkları da bu fikri doğrulamaktadır.
